His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Porfirije announced this evening, during the lecture of the Very Reverend Archimandrite Ephraim, Abbot of the holy imperial Lavra of the Monastery of Vatopedi, in the crypt of the Church of Saint Sava on Vračar, that through the love and blessing of this great elder of the Church of God and of his holy brotherhood, the Holy Belt of the Most Holy Theotokos will remain in Belgrade until Friday, 5 June 2026.
I have for you, brothers and sisters, glad tidings from our elder Ephraim. Since in these days you are showing such great love for the Most Holy Theotokos and spare neither time nor effort to stand for hours in the sun to venerate Her holy relic, the glad tidings for us all are that the Holy Belt of the Most Holy Theotokos will remain in Belgrade until Friday.
