At Pascha in 1957, I attended an Orthodox paschal Matins for the first time. I had prepared to receive Communion in the morning at the Anglican church (that year Pascha by the Orthodox and Western reckonings coincided), but after the Orthodox festal service it became clear to me that this was impossible, for I had already met the Resurrection of Christ with the Orthodox Church, and that in the fullness of joy, unrepeatably. After that, to partake of the Holy Mysteries elsewhere would have meant, for me, to sin against the truth and to be a hypocrite.Митрополит Калистос Вер
